Live ceremony for Critics’ Choice Award has been postponed – reflecting caution over the current wave of new COVID-19 cases brought on by the Omicron variant. The 2022 event will take place on January 9 in Los Angeles, California, hosted by Taye Diggs and Nicole Byer.
In a statement posted on its website On Wednesday, the organizers said, “After thoughtful consideration and candid conversations with our partners at The CW and TB, we have come to the collective conclusion that the decision is prudent and responsible at this point is postponing the 27th Annual. Critics’ Choice Award, was originally scheduled for January 9, 2022.”
The statement continued by saying that the company is currently working to find an alternative date for the ceremony.
“We are in constant communication with LA County Public Health officials, and we are currently working diligently to find a new date during the upcoming awards season where our annual gala will be held. me with everyone’s safety and health remains our top priority. We will share additional insights with our friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry as soon as possible. ”

Films nominated for the award include Belfast, West story, Sand dunes, and The power of the dog. While Heir, Mare of Easttown, and Evil was nominated for the television category.
